Today is so rainy and gloomy ....but carries a Halloween spooky feel with it.

So I opened all the windows put on my feel cozy jammers...

Altered boots

I wanted to share the boots I altered. I started off just spray painting them silver and then painting the bottoms with chalk board paint......then I decided they needed more ....lots more :) so I decided to look through some of my favorite magazines and I found this bright pretty image and decided to cut and glue the image on the bottom. I then used a white chalk board  bistro marker and wrote on them. I sealed it all with mod podge 3D image glue. I love how they turned out so much that I can't bring myself to walk on them!

Narnia

I have always loved this picture of my daughter..... every time I look at it I daydream of Narnia. She is my favorite subject to photograph. This was the end of a long day of taking pictures ....she was cold and very irritated with me .....but that is when she takes her best shots. :)

BAMBI

My little pumpkin creation takes me back to a magical place I visited as a child. I grew up in a very small town called Atlanta, Texas that had a small family owned movie theatre with only one screen. The theatre seated 728 people in orchestra and balcony levels. It in my opinion was the most magical place in town.  What made it so magical you ask?....... imagine if you will walking into a buttery popcorn scented fairy tale land. One of the first memories I have of it is my mom and dad taking my little sister and I to see Bambi. I remember feeling butterflies in my tummy as I walked up to the bright lights of the marquee that sheltered the entrance and ticket booth to get in line. It felt as if it took a lifetime to get to the little window to pay to go inside. As we walked in I could see to the right a three deminsional life size shadow box display of bambi and his magical forest. Looking into this whimsical display made me feel like if I stepped over the red braided rope I would have been transported right into the forest. Bambi looked so life like....I coulndn't take my eyes off of him.... thinking that if I looked away he was going to move and I'd miss it. I believe that gazing into the display was the best part of going to the movies. I could go on and on about this theatre and all the fond memories I have of it.... I hope you all enjoyed my memory of the most magical place I have ever seen :)

Pretty stick on nails and so easy and inexpensive to do :) found them at wal-mart ..... a little tip is to use a drop of nail glue too.

She made me alice in wonderland so I created this tin man.

I traveled to the very end of the rainbow and found a wonderful place called Rainbow Land. It's filled with small, round houses and thousands of brightly-colored flowers. There are even trees that are shaped like stars. So.... I just had to bring some home with me.
